The food options at this place were great, offering a wide variety to choose from.

The gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful.

Breakfast starts too late for those who get up early to hike.

Location, cost, comfort. It was wonderful that we could open the window, turn off the ac and since the window opened towards an area of trees so that we could have privacy, no traffic sounds and fresh air instead of canned and loud ac air and sound.

The room door did not have a safety lock from the inside lock. There were badly damaged ceiling tiles in the shower/tub stall. The door key did not work consistently.

Conveniently located clean place that serves as a great home base for exploring Baxter State Park and northern Maine. Plus, there's a drug store nearby for any essentials you might need! 🌲

Being charged per person for the room is crap ..never heard of that

Convenient location, fridge and microwave provided, good bathroom and shower, reasonable breakfast from 6am, small indoor pool and gym, clean despite age. Friendly and welcoming family manages the place. Perfect for hikers visiting Baxter State Park.

The value for my money was great, and the room was comfortable and spacious. The location was convenient and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

I had a disappointing night in Maine, but the warm room at Katahdin Inn made up for it. The room was cozy and perfect on a cold Maine night. The location was also convenient for my excursions to Baxter State Park and Katahdin Woods and Waters. I would recommend this hotel.

The staff is doing a good job of renovating an out-dated facility and offer the best price point in the area - an easy 20-minute drive to Baxter State Park.

The place is a little tired - but the new owners are making it better every day.

Surprising lobby with pool and pool tables. Clean and quiet room with plenty of towels. Pleasant and nice staff. Convenient location for walking/bicycling to stores and restaurants. Valuable and real hotel insights for hikers and affordable stay.

Not a lot of choice in this sadly run down town but this was adequate for the one night we needed to go on a moose watching trip in Baxter State Park, about 10 miles away. Our room on the 2nd floor was at the back with an outside window - definitely better than the ones facing the indoor pool area. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a free breakfast with cereal juice coffee waffles etc. Close to a RiteAid pharmacy if you need any essentials.

It looks like a barrack house from the outside and the parking lot is in need of repair. Inside it is much better than you might expect.

AC worked great considering the rest of the hotel was warm. The owner was EXTREMELY accommodating. If all owners treated customers like that, the world would be a better place!
